Welcome to the Kern Model Aircraft Kontrollers web site. Our clubs main interest is in radio controlled model aircraft of all sizes. Our members enjoy the hobby and the opportunity to provide a service to our community. Our club is located in the Kern River Valley, approx. 50 miles East of Bakersfield, California. KMAK's flying field is located at Hanning Flats, 5 miles East of Kernville. Our runway is 600' X 100' (compacted DG) with a shade cover, parking and a restroom. Elevation at the field is 2650' ASL and sets right next to Lake Isabella.

We hold three fun fly's each year, two from land and one float fly from the Lake - check the dates on the Calendar Page.  Our club is AMA Charter 2506 and we invite all visitors and surrounding clubs to participate in all our activities.

Meetings are held on the 4th Monday of each month, 7:00 PM at the Lake Isabella Library, guests are invited to attend. There is no meeting scheduled for the month of December. Dates for our upcoming fun fly events are listed in the Calendar, and you can contact any of the Club Officers for more information or questions.
